When times are hard people often ask "Pastor what should I do?" Of course the response changes some depending on the person and the particulars of the situation. But the first part of my response is always the same regardless of the who or what of the situation: HAVE FAITH! Sometimes I can see in the face of the questioner that they assume that I have said "NOTHING". Too often even people of the faith or not people of FAITH. To often people of the faith think that faith is nothing (not material or relevant) to what they are going though. However the bible says just the opposite. God says that faith is substance. A layman's definition of substance is the something that makes anything what it is - it makes a thing REAL. Not only does the bible say that faith is substance but that faith is the substance. In other words everything is what it is because of its relationship to faith.
Therefore, the choices we make we make by our faith. The results of those choices are the results of faith. The bible says that the things that we want or expect become REAL in our faith. Our healing becomes REAL in our faith. The job that we are hoping for becomes REAL in our faith. Better marriages become REAL in our faith. So if you are facing a tough time "HAVE FAITH" and your hopes and dreams will have substance. Your hope and dreams will come to pass - for REAL!!!
