Eyes on Ministry: F.O.R.C.E. Men's Ministry

Posted by Keda On 3:26 PM

With all of the wonderful things that the men of HOPE have been doing lately, let's shed some light on Anthony Cuney and the F.O.R.C.E. (Fulfilling Our Righteous Call to Excellence) Men's Ministry.

F.O.R.C.E. Men's Ministry Leaders (Anthony Cuney: top row, second from left)
Tell us a little about yourself.
There is really not much to say about myself when I know it is all about GOD. I have been designated the leader of F.O.R.C.E. Men's Ministry and will do everything to the best of my ability to ensure that this ministry empowers men to become better Husbands, better Fathers and better Leaders based upon the better promises of GOD. I am really not about self when there is a team of leaders that make everything happen for this Ministry.

What is your ministry's mission/vision statement?

Our mission is to minister to me through Bible-based teaching, fellowshipping with the  faithful and providing stewardship and service to all men. This teaching will empower me to make better choices based on a better covenant and better promises. Through the Word of GOD each man will be a blessing to his family and others.

Who can participate in your ministry?

All men

How long have you been involved in the ministry?

9 years

How long have you been leading the ministry?

6 years

What caused you to get involved and lead the ministry?

I was approached by someone else about leading the Men's Ministry. At first I was hesitant but then through the continual prodding from the Lord took on the mission of building better men of integrity for the kingdom. I understood that men needed to be assembled as one and not individuals for the ministry to be strong. There is also a bigger picture for men in the eyes of GOD and that is that we stand up on the everlasting word that has sustained so many before us. Because when the men go the church will go.

How has leading this ministry impacted your life?

Leading this ministry has impacted my life in many ways, I could be here all day speaking about the benefits of this ministry. What it has truly done for me is that it has allowed my relationship with GOD to get stronger through bonding with other men who are equally as passionate about seeing the success of GOD in their brothers. Leading this ministry has groomed my integrity level every day. The vision and teaching we receive from Pastor Eastland has fostered the vision for this ministry because we want to line up with the vision and direction GOD has given him. This builds a strong foundation for our church when we are all on one accord.

If you could speak to someone who is considering participating in the ministry, what would you say?

I would say to them that there is a healing and power in this ministry and you want to be a part of a ministry that is about you and not about themselves.

If I were a participant in your ministry, what could I expect?

You can expect to be strengthened every time you come in contact with your ministry brothers. You can also expect to be held accountable for your choices that you make and comforted in your times of indecision and dilemma. For we are a ministry that seeks to build the Spirit man not tear it down. There will be no judgment from this group…

What kind of feedback do you receive from participants?

For those that participate they are thoroughly impressed at the fact that men are able to gather in the presence of GOD and bring it all to the table. Most say that out of all the churches that they have visited before now they have never seen this type of men's participation in the church…

What is your most memorable moment as a ministry leader?

There have been many but the most memorable came this year (2010) when we put on our First Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament. It was amazing how everyone pulled together; men, women and children working towards a common goal of edifying the Kingdom first and foremost and giving our children an opportunity to succeed at the next level of their lives. That was both humbling and exciting to see such bonding for one cause.

Picture your ministry a year from now. What do you see?
What has changed?
I see this ministry carrying the vision of GOD as it has been given to our leader to others. I also see this ministry continuing to grow beyond the walls of the church to reach other men and families who are seeking to be a part of GOD's army. Change is inevitable and in this ministry we are always seeking to change for the better.

Any closing thoughts?
When everything around you tells you not to believe, Keep Believing!!! It is always a great day to get better with the LORD.

Thank you to Anthony Cuney and the other F.O.R.C.E. Men's Ministry leaders for encouraging the men of HOPE to reach their destiny. Keep up the Kingdom work!
